What’s the difference between this Mining Practice Exam and the Units of Competency (UOC) Training and the DEMIRS Legislation Exam Preparation Courses?

To get your WA Restricted Quarry Manager (Explosives) or (Non-explosives) or Underground Supervisor (Without qualifications) certificate, you will need to complete:

Your DEMIRS Mining Practice Exam (which this course prepares you for)
The Unit of Competency courses (see for: Restricted Quarry Manager or Underground Supervisor)
Your DEMIRS Legislation Exam (see for: Restricted Quarry Manager or Underground Supervisor)

The Unit of Competency courses involve completing course work and submitting assessments. The Exam Preparation Course is a self-paced course beginning with a one day workshop that will take you through all the knowledge and tactics to pass the challenging DEMIRS legislation exam first go. This Mining Practice Exam is an exam where you type answers to questions on mining practices that require a strong knowledge of practical uses of legislation.

Do I need my Units of Competency or Legislation Exam completed first?

No, it doesn’t matter in what order the Mining Practice Exam, Legislation Exam or Units of Competency are done.

How do I book my exam with DEMIRS?

We recommend booking an exam date at least 3 weeks from the Mining Practice Exam Preparation Course workshop date that you book with us so you can prepare in time. Bookings are through the DEMIRS MSPP website and you can book your DEMIRS exam date here.
